Overview
The Overland Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is the most traditional and popular route for spiritual seekers. Traveling by eco-tourist bus through the scenic landscapes of Nepal and Tibet, this 14-day journey offers a deep immersion into the Himalayan culture and spirituality. It includes the sacred parikrama of Mount Kailash and time at the serene Lake Mansarovar, providing a profoundly transformative experience.
Journey Highlights
- Arrive at Kathmandu Airport and check into your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
After breakfast, visit Pashupatinath, Shakti Peeth, Boudhanath Stupa, Jal Narayan Temple & Doleshwar Mahadev. Evening is free for leisure followed by a tour briefing after dinner.
After breakfast, drive to Kodari. Its significantly higher elevation above Kathmandu, helps with gradual acclimatization. Overnight stay at a guest house.
Today the group will be entering China and there can be time taking formalities at the border immigration. After completing immigration formalities, the group will cross the border on foot to reach China side. Overnight stay in hotel.
This day is reserved for acclimatization in Tibet’s tough climatic conditions and adjust with high altitude. Also, you can enjoy the day with exploring
The enjoyable drive through the mountains terrain and then the plains of Tibet provides us a marvelous view as we travel to Saga from Keyrong. Cross the Yarlung Zangpo (Brahmaputra River) and then turn for the northern route, and arrive at beautiful town of Saga.
Today marks one of the most significant moments of your journey, as you receive the divine darshan of the Holy Mt. Kailash and Lake Mansarovar. Take a Holy Dip in the lake, followed by the Mansarovar Parikrama by environmental buses. Overnight at Guest House.
After the morning pooja and havan, group is ready to drive to Darchen and will travel through Rakshas Taal. Overnight stay at a guest house in Darchen.
After breakfast, drive to Tarboche (12 km) and begin the 13 km Kailash Parikrama trek to Dirapuk from Yam Dwar. Packed lunch will be provided. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp (Dormitory).
This is the day every pilgrim talks about, the most difficult journey throughout the yatra. The last pull to the pass is steep and, due to the altitude, unrelenting. At a dizzy height of 5630m, the Dolma (Tara) La marks the transition from this life to a new one. 200–300 meters below the pass is a view of the lake of compassion, Gauri kund. Further trek on the east bank of the river and reach Zuthulpuk, dinner & overnight at Camp (Dormitory).
This is our last day on Mount Kailash trek. We walk on gradual trek for about 6 kms and reach at a point where the vehicles are waiting for us. We reach
Darchen continue drive to Saga.
Drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to the city hotel. Enjoy some free time in this exotic city.

Policies & Essential Information
- Photography: Do not take photos or videos at Army Checkpost or Police stations & Avoid carrying daai lama photos & videos in your mobile.
- Cooperation: Maintain a cooperative attitude with Team and Army officers during the journey.
- A clear passport copy must be submitted at least 5 weeks prior to the group's entry date.
- The original passport should be valid for a minimum of 6 months from the date of travel.
- A booking fee of INR 25,000/- per person is required to confirm your reservation and becomes non-refundable after the naming list and passport copies are submitted.
- 50% of the tour payment is due one month prior to the group's travel date.
- The balance amount must be paid at least 15 days before the group's arrival in Nepal.

Once the group-naming list has been submitted, a cancellation fee of INR 25,000/- per person will apply for any cancellations.
