Churdhar Yatra
Overview
Churdhar Trek is one of the most scenic and spiritually significant treks in Himachal Pradesh. Located in the Sirmaur district, Churdhar Peak stands at an altitude of 3,647 meters (11,965 ft), making it the highest peak in the Shivalik range of the outer Himalayas.
The name Churdhar literally means ˝Bangle of Snow,˛ inspired by the snow-covered peak that shines like a silver crown during winters.
Churdhar is home to the sacred Shri Shirgul Maharaj Temple, deeply revered by locals. According to legends, Shirgul Maharaj was an incarnation of Lord Shiva who meditated here. Near the temple stands a towering statue of Lord Shiva, adding to the divine aura of the summit.
The trek is not just an adventure itˇs considered a pilgrimage. Many devotees undertake this journey barefoot as an act of faith.

Start your trek from Jamnala Campsite towards Churdhar Peak.

Begin your descent from Churdhar Peak with an 18 km trek towards Nohradhar.

Upon reaching Nohradhar, drive back to Chandigarh.

- Photography: Do not take photos or videos in Temple But you can cature at top og the mountain.In front of mahadev statue.
- Cooperation: Maintain a cooperative attitude with Team and Army officers during the journey.
- Prior to 15+ days before departure: Rs 2000 Advance should be paid.
